What is High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)?

HDPE stands for High Density Polyethylene, it's one of the most versatile plastic materials for now.

HDPE has a large strength to density ratio, it's well suited for holding heavy materials and large amounts of liquids without showing signs of damage or wear. Also it's temperature range of -50ºC to 85ºC, resistant to corrosion, mold, mildew, and rotting, which makes it incredibly durable in a variety of environments.

Most we supply is HDPE sheets, however, it can also be molded into specific shapes or even used in injection molding. Due to it's features, exposure to high heat allows it to be easily shaped and formed.

Same as our UHMWPE, our HDPE material also passed FDA certification, which makes it a food safe material. It’s commonly used in packaging for food and bottles for beverages. In its sheet form, it is used to create cutting boards or food prep surfaces. Also it can be used as storage for other liquids, like tanks for water, oil, and waste.
